Well, Chat Transcript Manager 1.0.2 is out, and it is a Universal binary now.
What's better, MacZOT! is offering it today for only $8. Yes boys and girls, that is $12 off the regular price ($20). Grab it while it is available there!
Meanwhile, Chat Transcript Manager 1.1 is on the horizon, with the support for other IM clients. Right after we're done with the Intel compatible haxies. ;)

Will support for gaim log files be added (or are they already supported)?
Posted by: David Olinsky on April 27, 2006 7:49 AMWill Colloquy be one of the other IM clients? Because that would rock hard.
Posted by: foobaz on April 27, 2006 9:52 AMCool ! Keep it up !

Posted by: Jean-Francois on April 27, 2006 2:13 PMsweet! a universal binary from unsanity :)
i do have couple of questions though. please do not take them wrong way.
1. Adium has search function feature for the logs that works well. why pay $20 for this
2. Why are you guys releasing updates to the software that has lower demand? Reading back through your Weblog you can clearly see that most of the people request Universal binaries of FruitMenu, ShapeShifter and WindowShadeX.
i am dying to get universal WindowShadeX myself
Posted by: andrey on April 27, 2006 2:49 PMBecause these apps are probably easier to port to UBs. For one an app like Chat Transcript Manager doesn't require anywhere near as much testing as something like APE because it doesn't actually affect your system. For another Chat Transcript Manager is a Cocoa app which makes it easier to port than something that deals with stuff on an OS level (cocoa helps protect the developer from much OS level stuff)
Posted by: Pilky on April 28, 2006 11:56 AMShapeshifter? When?
It's getting much too long for an update of a payware-soft.
Posted by: on May 1, 2006 2:20 AMWhat's taking so long to get a universal version of windowshade? i payed good money for this app and i haven't been able to use it since Jan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted by: len on May 10, 2006 3:27 PMim glad our money help you develop your intel compatible vaporware.
Posted by: andrey on May 11, 2006 7:00 PMAs a Mac software developer let me just say that the expectations set by Apple for how easy ports to Macintel are is way overblown. Sure simple Cocoa apps are easy enough but anything that pokes around in the system is a whole different ball o' wax. I too really want my WindowShadeX but I completely understand why it's taking longer than I might want.
Posted by: Bozo Z Clown on May 13, 2006 10:07 PMI understand the Intel stuff would be a challenge but the fact is it's been almost a year since developers were offered Intel systems to start work. Wish there was some better communication, even if just to update on progress. I think the frustration is the silence rather than the delay.
