Silly Email Harvesters
Nice, just got this at our corporate mailbox:
APPLICATION FOR A JOB POSITION I hereby wish to apply for a job position in your company. I am a I have graduated with a Diploma in Textile Design and Technology at I assume we get the email because we happen to have a product called Silk. Sure, this sounds a bit about fabric, and I guess that's why we got the email in the first place. Still, silly, either the guy used a bulk mailing on a pre-determined keyword-based email list harvested by spam bots, or just sent it to everybody. No, man, we don't do textile design. Yet. Wait a few months until we turn into a mega corporation handling everything from knit socks to entertainment robots. Or maybe not. Trackback Pings: TrackBack URL for this entry: Related:

When I was CIO of a small tech company I received this e-mail as well and that was over a year ago. Guess he still hasn't gotten a job. Posted by: Warner on April 18, 2003 12:37 PMI'm a recruiter. I have a position up for a content manager that specifically states over ten years of programming experience in particular languages. Who applies? So far I've had several cahiers from McDonalds, a couple of janitors and a library research guy. Idiots. Posted by: MSE on April 7, 2008 8:31 AMKeep comments on topic.
