investing?
Somebody want to tell me why I thought it would be fun to just own a bit of Apple stock instead of invest every penny I had?!? I bought 10 shares of 'aapl' a while back at $24 bucks a share. Well, after their stock closed at $47.75 today, my Apple stock is up 93.3%. Sheesh.... Hindsight is great isn't it? :) Trackback Pings: TrackBack URL for this entry: Related:

A few years ago, I bought 28 shares at about $16 each. My investment has grown 150%. Posted by: Ben Rosenthal on October 18, 2004 4:18 PMI bought in the low 20s, too. Shoulda bought more when it went even lower!! I'm going to sell when I've made enough profit to buy me a top o' the line new PowerBook. Now the new question is whether or not to buy Netflix stock while it's so damn low. Posted by: brian w on October 18, 2004 5:51 PMOddly enough I was discussing something very similar to this earlier today with my mom and step-dad. They were wanting to know if I knew of any good stocks to invest in. I pointed out that they had asked me about this before and I recommended Apple back when their stock was at like $17 per share but they never invested any money in them and now it is worth $47.75 per share. The funny part is they were talking about investing about $5000 which if I have done my math right means the would have turned that into around $14,000 in just a few years. Actually I could be way off because I can't remember if this was back before the stock split or after. Posted by: Twist on October 18, 2004 10:56 PMBecause you'll have to pay taxes on it when you cash it in... :( Posted by: Jamie McKee on October 19, 2004 2:40 AMI bought at around $19.00 - sold at $32 - I wish I had held out a bit longer. Posted by: Krishna on October 26, 2004 4:43 AMBought 235K shares at 20, still holding. See what happens. Posted by: Ishan Bhattacharya on October 26, 2004 6:55 AMKeep comments on topic.
