If you were going to engrave something on an iPod, what would you choose to engrave?

"I like it when the red water comes out"
"I'm an adult and I deserve an adult glass"
"Hell is other people"
"Love is more thicker than forget"
"Dead people with forks are chasing me again"
"If you meet the Buddha, Kill the Buddha. If you meet your father, kill your father"
"Wherefore art thou Tsubasa"
"Summoning the Spirit of a Dead Ficus Plant"
"Dirty Thoughts are Bad"
"A God Who Man Can Perceive isn't a God"
"A nod is as good as a wink to a blind poet"
"Bodies are for hookers and fat people"
"Do Not Taunt Happy iPod"
"User have mercy on the net"
"Daemon is the Word. Have you heard the word?"

Or do you have another suggestion? Noting there are two lines and each one can be up to 27 characters long. I worry that engraving something might cause me to look at it with embarrassment in the future if I find it is stupid.

Update: BAM! The choice on top was actually suggested by a person that read the blog. And the entire thing was described as being "interesting" like the way I am....

Either "Do Not Taunt Happy iPod" or "I want to marry all you lovely taps"

I like "Do Not Taunt Happy iPod", although it should probably really say "Do Not Taunt Happy Fun iPod"

I'd only have it engraved if my favorite music quote would fit: "I don't care what you call it, as long as it's real music, and as long as it swings." (Pete Townshend's dad.) But it won't fit.

For some laughs you could have it say "Intel inside"

"Do Not Taunt Happy iPod"

I have ordered the HP tattoos to design mine with my favorite motorcycles. And I would like to engrave the picture of one my motorcycles on the back of mine.

"For Timmy, from Grandma"

If anyone asks, you stole it...

"Not for Resale"

"Get your own, I licked this one." was what I put on mine. I wouldn't pay for it, but I was provided with the opportunity to engrave it for free at check out. It was on the day the 4th generation came out, so I didn't want to wait too long on getting my order in and that was the best idea that came from googling around.

Just one of those times that it shows its a good idea to keep a list of your good ideas when playing around, just in case.

Do not fold, spindle, or mutilate.

Love is more thicker than forget

Yes that's it. Now I remember. I have an iPod. It has 2 GB free. I must find more music.

"Technically, I believe my Cowboy Hat makes me a type of cyborg."

Happily stolen from Bungie's webmaster. Or maybe "Stolen from (insert name)" would be good.

How about a website url? That would be nifty.

Yes, a URL! but written upside down just to confuse people (assuming it takes unicode)

i spent about an hour finding the characters for my url to be upside down... i never did find an upside down "g" so i used a 6. i'd post it here, but mt garbles it :\

That iPod sure looked cute in its pink sock! :)

Good luck on finding a shuffle. I suppose you'll be needing an "iPod mitten" for it?

Oh Rosyna, I cringe at seeing that Aqua Teen box by the mouse pad.

Posted by: Redline on January 29, 2005 3:33 PM

Rosyna.....I am scared of the Aqua Teen.
Nice iPod though. =]
