MUMenu 2.0
A new version of MUMenu, 2.0, is available. As some of you may know, I was making MUMenu up to version 1.2. Now this task is taken by Peter Maurer, the author of Butler. Peter did an excellent job -- the menu looks much improved, has these funky icons and grey text everywhere, and looks pretty darn professional! Cheers. One little downside is that it is no longer a Menu Extra plugin, so you can't drag it around anymore. But on the other hand, Menu Extras are not as easy to gain the same level of menu customization as NSStatusItems get. So either way, it's a nice update. I could easily get used to being called "pretty darn professional" ;-) Thanks! BTW, Joel wanted MUMenu to become a NSStatusItem. If only NSMenuExtras were officially supported by Apple... However, I don't want to make this a self plug. It's very good looking and usable. Great job, Peter! Posted by: Steve Streza on August 19, 2004 5:54 PMKeep comments on topic.
