iTunes and Video: Burn the Land and Boil the Sea; You Can't Take the Sky From Me
iTunes 4.8 was just released and it seems to have support for video. Which is really weird. You can even play movies fullscreen without QuickTime Pro. Odd that Apple is including this in iTunes. Sadly it won't allow you to add AVI files even if you have a codec for the file. So much for Family Guy
Update: If you click the little artwork/player window in the lower left hand corner, the movie will open in a brand new window. Don't do this with the HD version of the Serenity trailer unless you have a really fast computer or patience. Trackback Pings: TrackBack URL for this entry: Related:

Wait, I thought iPhoto was the preferred app for managing movie clips... Nevermind that *neither* app should have to shoulder this responsibility... Posted by: Joel Bernstein on May 9, 2005 11:26 AMThey are thinking Music Videos and whatnot. I just wish that I could map the Videos to a different location - as to not make my itunes library explode (I'm on a laptop). Posted by: Sogni X on May 9, 2005 11:57 AMHmm... iTunes 4.8 gets control of iPod data syncing, and video support. I suppose video iPod rumors won't be far behind... Posted by: Joel Bernstein on May 9, 2005 12:08 PMAll very nice...BUT where is what I truly need, and that is version 10.4.1 of Tiger so that I can stop running the released-to-the-masses-retail-beta-version-called-Tiger? Huh? iTune, iPhooey! Posted by: CREB on May 9, 2005 1:49 PMAll that is nice, but why don't you tell us when a beta version of Silk is going to be available and don't worry about Itunes? Posted by: Stef on May 10, 2005 2:27 AMI need to apologize as this is a private blog, and I am a guest here. My post is a frustration with Apple; I have no qualms with Unsanity as they have always treated me exceptionally well and I am thankful for that. Tiger still has many bugs to iron out and until so, all Developers of software allied with Tiger will suffer. I do like the new iTunes 4.8. Posted by: CREB on May 10, 2005 10:38 AMSince others in the world are further along with multi-media content delivery I sure hope that Apple gets its iPhone (or whatever the bloody will be called) out soon. This would be a great tie-in to the new iTunes. Posted by: CREB on May 11, 2005 9:51 AM |
