Argh. Downloaded a copy of Adobe InDesign Trial to investigate why Menu Master isn't affecting it. Tried to install.
The installer quits all running applications. WTF?! Adobe installer engineers, OS9 days are over, there's no need to quit everything to install a copy of your application in the system. Ugh.

It's not just the trial, either, nor even the full version installer. Even the minor updates make you quit everything. They usually sit on my desktop for days until I get around to installing them. Annoying as all heck.

tell application "Installer Name" to DoAutoInstall
do that when you have set the install options (right before you hit install) and then it will not force you to quit all apps.
