Big Announcement coming tomorrow! from First Weblog
As I was surfing around the net this afternoon I happened onto this teaser from Unsanity about a new theming application that they will be releasing tomorrow, presumably. I'm very excited because on the Max Themes webpage a couple weeks...[Read More]

**WOW**

I'm guessing it's going to be a haxie to allow theming for individual users :D

Great. woah. cool.

i guess.

when's fruit menu coming out for panther?

Posted by: anonymous on November 17, 2003 8:04 AM

Looking forward to this new haxie!

And please fix FruitMenu.

And Menu Master.

Posted by: potentialSSuser on November 17, 2003 8:34 AM

FruitMenu is coming this week or early next week perhaps -- I am completing the round of updates on that. Menu Master, probably along the same lines, but that's a question for Rosyna. I was kept a little busy with a little shifts in the personal/professional life in the past couple of weeks -- but more on that in an individual post sometime later.

Check us up tomorrow!

As long as Max Rudberg is involved (as his home page would seem to indicate) I'm on board.

Is this the APE based theme changer that we've been dreaming of for 2 years now? All I know is I should love it what ever the heck it is.

Brian,

Whatever it is...count me in. I am also willing to purchase whatever it is in advance -- sight unseen. Very well executed icon. Who does all of Unsanity's artwork? Slava? Will we ever get to see a "real picture" of Rosyna? Thanksgiving is just around the corner...

BBX did the icon (Bill Bart). He's the one doing the Omega theme, which will be released tomorrow very likely, and probably has been working with Unsanity, with Swiz/Max let in too.

What a great way to brighten up a cloudy Monday morning!

Anxiously awaiting the new haxie!

Posted by: Anonymous on November 17, 2003 12:06 PM

Xounds 2.1 will be out in the next couple days. Email me if you want it now. :) my email is my name at unsanity.com

Will it let us make finder highlighting less FUGLY? :)

Posted by: Etan on November 17, 2003 12:23 PM

Sure are a lot of geek-gasms happening over the prospect of an APE based theme changer. Personally, I don't get the excitement.

Oh, please fix Mighty Mouse as well. It keeps on adding multiple MightyMouseHelper's to the Startup Items! I know that was reported a while back.

from James:
"Will we ever get to see a "real picture" of Rosyna? Thanksgiving is just around the corner..."

i'm not sure what thanksgiving has to do with it, i'm sure it's something clever i just don't get, like rosyna being a big turkey or something...uh oh, i gave it away!
but, i know what rosyna looks like! haha! sometimes i wonder if it's an honor or not...
then i remember how much i need rosyna late at night when i'm alone, confused and vulnerable, then the obligatory answer comes to mind; it is not only an honor, it is a privilege.

As part of the project, all I can say is, it's freaking better than sliced bread.

Posted by: Brien Edick on November 17, 2003 3:32 PM

Ken - I saw your previous post about Mighty Mouse login items. I've got a fix partially implemented, but the subject of this thread has taken precedence. Don't worry, the Mighty Mouse thang'll be fixed as soon as possible.

Thanks for bringing it to my attention!

I'm second to few in my admiration for Unsanity, but I have to agree with some comments on that MacNN forum: doing the whole preannouncement thing with the coy hints and the kewl graphic is SO Konfabulator. Worse, it's SO Apple. ;-D

At least in this case it's just a matter of hours rather than, like, months. But still! I'd be a lot happier to wake up one morning and see, totally without warning, something new and cool to download, rather than be teased with hints. Or for those of us who check this RSS feed every day, a note that "we're working on a new interface enhancement/update to an existing haxie, check out this cool screenshot" has never failed to bring a smile...
