Mousing Mightily

Hey Unsane Ones!

Long time reader, first time poster. I'm Jason Harris, the author of Mighty Mouse. Nice to meet you all. :)

Below is a beta of Mighty Mouse with a bit of Panther goodness added. It worked pretty well in Panther before this update; this just clears up a few minor issues and makes Mighty Mouse aware of fast-user switching.

Enjoy, and let us know if there are any problems!

Mighty Mouse (this beta, 1.1.2, and probably earlier) exhibit the mighty mouse 1.0 problem that the cursor reverts to the default when the resolution is switched under Panther (7B85).

Gordon, I thought that this issue was fixed. Could you please email me at jason at unsanity to help me resolve it?

Mighty Mouse's APE module needs to be loaded into the frontmost application when the resolution switches for the cursors to be preserved, by the way. If you didn't log out/in after installing MM, this may explain what you're seeing.

Jason: It seems you were right about logging out. It's all working fine now. Sorry for the false report.

Gordon: Good to know it wasn't a problem. Thanks for letting us know about it anyway!

There's a bug with the latest vers (the beta one). When I scroll down/up the page the mouse flickers.

OK. Another bit of a bug. the mightymousehelper app seems to be adding itself to my login items again and again. Whenever I look at login items, there are like 10 instances of mightymousehelper.

When I take a screenshot using SnapzPro, the cursor doesn't disappear, even if I select the ad-hoc option in in the application. If I leave the cursor on, I got many instances of it...

I suppose this is currently per design of MightyMouse's behavior.

I found the same thing as Gordon about the MightyMouseHelper showing multiple times.

The Xounds and FruitMenu betas work well for me. I haven't tried the Metallifizer beta, yet.
