Mighty Mouse 1.1.1
The scoop: What's new in this version:
We have some progress/news to report on APE / Panther also. Slava will likely step up on the stage and comment shortly. ;) Update:We'll be posting Mighty Mouse 1.1.2 shortly. We found a permissions issue caused by new behavior in Stuffit 8 that resulted in 1.1.1 not working correctly. (ironic isn't it...=P ) Trackback Pings: TrackBack URL for this entry: Related:

This version refuses to work for me on 10.2.8. 1.1 worked perfectly. Unfortunately, I did not save a copy of the 1.1 installer. Any help here? Posted by: Gordon on September 30, 2003 3:46 PMConsole reports the error "launch path not accessible" whenever I hit the "apply" button in Mighty Mouse 1.1.1. Posted by: Gordon on September 30, 2003 4:12 PMAdditionally, I get the error "ERROR! execle(/Users/gordon/Library/PreferencePanes/Mighty Mouse.prefPane/Contents/Resources/Mighty Mouse Proxy.app/Contents/MacOS/Mighty Mouse Proxy) returned, err=22 " if I double-click on a .mightymouse file. Posted by: Gordon on September 30, 2003 4:13 PMCan't wait to hear about the APE on Panther progress. I can't live without Fruit Menu now. Posted by: NetworkShadow on September 30, 2003 4:49 PMsame here, no go 1.1.1 w/10.2.8 unsanity, can u post 1.1 for the moment?? thanx... Posted by: fisherking on September 30, 2003 7:05 PMAck. Same here. Won't work in 10.2.8. I logged back in to the stock cursors and when I go to the Mighty Mouse pref pane and add them again and try and leave, it won't save it. just keeps on asking again even thought I click Save. Cool. Good thing my 1.1.1b3 APE and prefpane were in the Trash. I replaced them and it's "fixed". Posted by: Ken on September 30, 2003 8:54 PMSorry about the inconvenience, peeps. This was caused by an oddity in Stuffit that caused executable permissions to be reset inside of the Mighty Mouse installer. Here's Aladdin's take on it, and here's a MacFixit thread regarding the Stuffit issue. Mighty Mouse 1.1.2 will be out in the morning and will restore functionality. Sorry again for the inconvenience! Posted by: Jason Harris on September 30, 2003 11:31 PMWeird, Jason. I don't have Stuffit 8. I'm still on whatever the latest 7 was. Alladin made it sound like it's only an 8 issue, no? Posted by: Ken on October 1, 2003 5:31 AMLet me clarify: it is a screwup on *our* side. We stuffed the installer application to transfer it from one computer to another, and unstuffed using StuffIt 8, and that killed all proper permissions. =) Anyhow, 1.1.2 is out!
