Menu Master 1.0 was a success, thanks to you. And of course, a couple of glitches did surface:
- Inability to change shortcuts for some applications like Adobe Photoshop and Thoth;
- Menu Master not remembering the shortcuts across application launches (Eudora and some others);
- Not showing a list of customized shortcuts in the Menu Master preference pane.
Last bug was fixed within 3 hours after the initial release of Menu Master, so if you see it, download Menu Master again. Today I fixed the first two bugs, and now pending some other misc stuff that surfaced when fixing them (heh), I'll work on the remaining one. So overall, it looks pretty darn good, and we expect a 1.0.1 release sometime next week or so, after we do some testing on the changes.
Thank you for your support and please drop us a note if anything is missing from Menu Master!

It doesn't matter if it was up for only three hours, you have no idea what confusion and problems will occur because you didn't change the version number.
Even if you change merely a word in a spash screen or something only cosmetic, you MUST change the version number!
This isn't the first time it's happened and I can't believe you just don't get this plainly common sense issue!
Well, lets just ignore that last comment.
I'm glad you are fixing the Adobe Issue. Other than that, I love Menu Master. It rocks, It's easy to use and helpful. :-)
Posted by: noel on April 10, 2003 8:31 PMThis is just a suggestion, but I would like to see the version number listed at the end of all the Unsanity installer files just for my reference as I store away everything. Thanks.
Posted by: CREB on April 10, 2003 8:54 PMI'm looking forward to MM 1.0.1. I love the concept and bought Menu Master the day it was released. Great little thing. But one bug has to be squashed for sure. Big one in Acrobat Reader: assigning command F for Full Screen shows up allright on the menu and the application menu of MM rev1 pref. Same pref tells me the Find... menu no longer has a shortcut. But pressing command F in Acrobat Reader still brings up the Find.. dialog. Aaargghhh :(
Got a suggestion as well: some kind of visual info on what menu item will be victomized when assigning a new shortcut. Now I've got to scan the menu's to see what shortcut is free...
Posted by: Ton on April 11, 2003 4:07 AMJust a request. Maybe it's a technical limitation, but is there a reason we are not able to map non-alphanumeric characters. I also noticed his limitation in FruitMenu.
Just curious. Waiting for 1.0.1 then my money is yours. It can only get better! Thanks
Posted by: kcjones76 on April 11, 2003 1:35 PMYou wrote "Last bug (not showing a list of customized shortcuts in the Menu Master preference pane) was fixed within 3 hours after the initial release". So I downloaded and installed Menu Master again. After logout/login: still no difference... "No Applications Configured". Uhm... but I also purchased a lisence a few minutes ago cause you will probably kill this bug for life in 1.0.1
