We are proud to present an update to our premiere menu customization haxie, FruitMenu. The minor update is recommended for all FruitMenu users, and features the following:
- You can now select the contextual menu popup delay for "Click and Hold Mouse Button to Access Contextual Menu In Finder" option.
- Cocoa applications now support shortcuts without the Command key set in FruitMenu (it was a Cocoa limitation).
- Improved handling of the shortcuts and selecting a menu item with a Command key to reveal an item.
- Added hardcoded Exclude List items that can optionally be synchronized from the Internet to prevent incompatibilities with individual applications.
- Improved contextual menu modules support.
- FruitMenu is now compatible with OnMyCommand CM by Abracode.
- Fixed a bug with FruitMenu crashing on displaying running applications list if one of the running applications has a trademark symbol in its name.
- Gather Items feature is no longer available for single file selections.
- Miscellaneous bug fixes.
Direct download: fruitmenu-301.dmg (1.03 Mb, internet-enabled disk image). As usual, thanks for your feedback and support - I said it before, and I'll say it again - our users kick ass!.

But still no "Mounted Volumes" available in the Apple Menu, as it is in the contextual menus? Pleeeeaaase Slava, pleeeaaasee.

In the feedback department, I would like to see the Move item... Context Menu have the ability to replace items with the same name in that location (prompting the user of course) and change to Copy Item(s) if the location is on another volume or the Option-key is held down (for instance copying a prefpane on a dmg to the appropriate folder doesn't work if you already have an older version of that prefpane).
It would also be nice if the Gather items command could optionally name the folder according to the filenames if the all start out similarly (some picture 1, some picture 2, some picture 3 would have a folder named some pictures for example).
Just some ideas/requests.

Posted by: CREB on March 19, 2003 12:46 PMThanks and a great site, bought many a memory of my college days in Architecture...wild days, wild nights and many a good friend and time. I can see how Unsanity is so creative in their software and company principles if they hang with creative minds such as Ra. Keep it up, I lost it somewhere in the Corporate world and have been desperately looking to return to it. Oh, on FruitMenu...an amazing haxie will so much to offer for so little.
Posted by: CREB on March 19, 2003 2:19 PMWhat about localization...?
