An update to Application Enhancer is coming along nicely. There are no new bugs to fix since version 1.1, so we're focusing on polishing and adding features to it. New version will add a much needed tool to manage installed APE Modules. It will allow you to enable/disable modules, change include or exclude lists, view the applications currently affected by a particular APE module, and to manage settings for smaller APE modules (like Dock Detox and ClearDock). And of course, third-party developers will be able to take advantage of services provided by APE Manager.
A development screenshot for you:
UPDATE: And I didn't make it clear enough, APE Manager is a preference pane. ;)

This is a much-needed addition to APE, especially if you hope to have a large community of modules. One thing, though: for these system-wide enhancements, wouldn't it be more appropriate to have the APE manager installed as a System Pref Pane, instead of a separate App? When I first downloaded APE, I thought for sure that it would be a System Pref Pane... makes sense, after all.

I agree with Mark Flider that it should show up in the system's pref's window.

What software are you using on this board?
Its Moveable Type. More of a weblog than a messageboard, but call it what you will ;-)
