To continue my own post about running MT-Blacklist:
- Comment spams blocked: 2735
- Comment spams moderated: 238
- Duplicates blocked: 1
- Blacklist - Strings: 3213
- Blacklist - URLPatterns: 50
- Blacklist - Regexes: 31
The comment spam amount is ridiculous, isn't it? =)

That is psycho. Unfortunately, my blogging software (b2evolution) doesn't provide stats on what it blocks. However, I haven't had any comment-spam yet... perhaps I'm just unpopular :P
Posted by: Jon on November 3, 2004 5:40 AMI never see these spam comments. They appear here, right? I must have been very lucky to avoid seeing them.
Posted by: kwyjibo on November 3, 2004 6:28 AMThe vast majority of comments get blocked by the blacklist plugin and you never see them. The ones it doesn't yet knows about but that match some known spam comments criteria get held for moderator approval, and we zap them from there. =)
Posted by: slava on November 3, 2004 8:28 AMwow that is crazy! I'll have to go MT for my weblog if I ever get that amount of traffic.
Posted by: NetworkShadow on November 13, 2004 5:27 PMMan oh man, I'm totally with you on that. I recently installed MT-Blacklist on my copy of MovableType (which has roughly 60 different blogs in it, for all of my users). It's so nice to be able to globally stop spam. Within the first 24 hours of installation, it had blocked over 100 attempts. I just have to swing by once or twice a day, and everything is kept nice and clean...
