Unsanity is going to be heading to lovely pure-evil San Francisco for the next week for the always popular, always fun, and hopefully completely unsane WWDC. If you're a dev who's going to be there, or you just live in SF and you'd like to hang out, that'd be just totally spifftacular with us. We especially like it when you buy us beers!
I'm not going to make any predictions for the keynote because, well, I just don't care, and, I like to be surprised and if I think about it too much in advance, I won't be. So, come what may, I'm sure I'll enjoy it. As long as Apple doesn't release an iPhone since I just bought an SE w810i last week.
Instead, I'll go for predictions on what band will be playing the Apple Campus Bash. Panic! at the Disco. At least, that's what I hope.
Anyway, hope you guys enjoy the rumors as much as we enjoy sitting in cold rooms with sweaty bearded salivating geeks!
And, hopefully, we'll be able to fix the APE Rosetta bug while all of our brains are in the same physical location, too!

when the #*&^#$* is a working version of WindowShadeX going to be released?????
I find it amazing that at this time there is still issues with WindowShadeX and Firefox.
Posted by: frustrated on August 7, 2006 7:12 PMWindowShadeX is quite useful, but it's nothing to get upset over! Yelling doesn't make people write code faster.
Thanks for your continued efforts, Unsanity folks.
Posted by: Joe Osborn on August 7, 2006 8:16 PMWhat no day-to-day event reporting? I'm all eyes and awaiting an unbiased Unsanity view of the happenings. Seriously now, please keep us posted.
Posted by: CREB on August 8, 2006 9:54 AMSoooo guys! How's fixing that Rosetta bug in the SS beta coming? I felt obligated to put the temporary command line fix into our troubleshooting wiki as a question to ask folks that called up with problems running Rosetta apps... =D
Other than that bug, and the bug with Amora not redrawing some Rosetta windows properly, it's VERY stable and works very well!
Posted by: Justin on August 8, 2006 1:24 PMLooks like you got junk food and chocolate back. Ghiradelli bars and cookies galore...
is it just me, or is this less a conference and more a state of the Fill-in-the-blank...
Course it could be because I am an Enterprise IT guy at a dev conference...

Sorry about no updates. I've literally had maybe 20 minutes of off time since I got off the plane. This is a good (but NDA'ed) show, and there's some really excellent inter-developer stuff going on this time around. Hopefully, it will turn into exciting stuff in the future!
Posted by: Jason Harris on August 8, 2006 9:54 PMAnd in those 20 minutes why hasn't the rosetta bug been fixed?
:-P
Posted by: sterling on August 9, 2006 6:14 AMHi folks, where can I learn about the Rosetta Bug in APE that is mentioned here. Since I applied the universal versions of APE, Xounds and WSX to my Intel Core Duo, PPC applications such as Office:mac would sometimes refuse to open, needing to restart to get them back to work.
Posted by: Dexter68 on August 9, 2006 9:53 AMDexter, look in the comments of the ShapeShifter beta threads on this site.
Posted by: Jason Harris on August 10, 2006 12:12 PMHi, can YOU help me find my registration key? I bought this product and had to wipe the computer and lost all the stuff. please help! no emails have been returned regarding this matter; either the automatic or personal kind.

Hi I apologize for posting on the comments section, but I believe the tricia.romano@att.net email is busted and would like to be able to access my registration codes. I have not received any emails from any of your staff, but am receiving them from friends. I don't know how else to communicate; I've tried to specifically email people, and also tried getting my code via the form online many, many times, and nothing is working. Please email me at tromano@villagevoice.com and once again I apologize.
Tricia
Panic at the Disco. Dude.. they're in my top 3 least favorite bands to hear on the radio, along with Creed and Nickelback.
Posted by: ken on August 17, 2006 10:31 PMWell, I definitely agree with you about Creed and Nickelback. I'd rather listen to the dying rattle of my only child than have to listen to that swill.
But, hey, I like P!atD, what can I say? And I even like P!atD from a music-geek persective, which I guess makes me wholly irreedemable for all eternity. :)
