Application Enhancer 2.0

With hours (whew!) to spare before the expiration of the previous public beta of Application Enhancer 2.0, we're proud to present you with the final version of 2.0. We'll follow with the actual modules soon, but until then, keep using the previously released public betas with this new final version of Application Enhancer 2.0.

Application Enhancer 2.0

And lest we neglect the other developers using Application Enhancer, here we have the SDK:

Many thanks, I look forward to the updated haxies!

Rah rah - just by the hair of their chinny chin chin! Excellent Haxies all around. All the Beta's have been stable.

One note: The APE "Troubleshooting" still links to haxies.com which forwards to unsanity.com - but why not fix that?

thanks lots

Wow... Is this thing backward compatible? Not that I need it but .. for... you know, "new" :)

Congrats! I suspect this thing was harder to ship Mactel OS X , at least they were coding side by side for years!

Why were the Xcode templates removed from the SDK?

I spent a few hours last night wondering why almost some adobe programs on a 17" MacBook Pro wouldn't run. The suspected culprit is Unsanity's haxies. I removed them and now, Photoshop CS2, ImageReady CS2 and Photoshop Elements and Acrobat 7 all open without a problem. Unfortunately, I did not clearly identify which haxie but it appears to be one of the new releases for Universal as I was sure the beta's didn't affect anything. (ClearDock, Silk, Application Enhancer 2, and MenuMaster).

Prioir to removing the Unsanity Apps, Photoshop would open...get to the menus and crash. Then just bounce once or twice in the dock and not open. Varying degrees of similarity with the others as well.

Remove the Unsanity apps. They were the latest additions I made and prior to that, the adobe apps were running fine.

The key error code seems to be

Exception: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (0x0001)
Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE (0x0002) at 0x00000000

I've done a bit more messing around and the issue seems to be between the beta FruitMenu Beta (and maybe WindowShade Beta)and Adobe.... I started with ClearDock..no problem...

Window Shade and Fruit Menu (afeter reinstalling Ape 2.0... and the crash was back. Removed Window Shade and Fruitmenu... leaving only Ape and Clear Dock... restart and all is well, I could open CS2 Photoshop, and Image Ready...
