So, its been 10 days today since I installed MT-Blacklist 2.01b onto the MT 3 installation.
Some statistics to prove how useful the tool is:
- Comment spams blocked: 102
- Comment spams moderated: 19
- Duplicates blocked: 0
- Blacklist - Strings: 2996
- Blacklist - URLPatterns: 33
- Blacklist - Regexes: 31
- Blacklist - FlexProtect: 0

Those two features are key for blocking most of the spam that's not on your blacklist. In fact, I bet that if I were to empty my blacklist out, those two features alone would still catch more than 95% of my spam.
This is just a test of the blacklist dealies..... making sure I didn't mess anything up.
Posted by: Rosyna on September 23, 2004 11:03 AMM-Blacklist looked useful at first to me, but after a while I noticed that I was spending a lot of time updating the blacklist. Actually more than I spent time deleting the SPAM.
My solution is, I just disallow all URLs in the replies. I am Instantly SPAM free.
