Team Intro

Updated October 5, 2005

Unsanity is a small company - so, let me introduce the Unsanity Team...

Brian Brian Wilson Maybe Man
Brian is the business manager guy. His interests include scuba, rock climbing/rapelling/canyoneering, sports, books, friends and family, and computers/technology.

Leonid Leonid "Cheburashka" Suvorov Lead Beta Tester
Leonid does our beta testing, that is, trying to invent all the different ways to make our products crash. His nickname comes after Cheburashka, a famous Russian cartoon character (it's now making its way into Japan).

Rosyna Rosyna Keller Holy Knight
Rosyna is a programmer and Unsanity's Holy Knight. For that last reason, no photo is available. =) Rosyna coded Silk, FontCard, Menu Master, and Labels X. Rosyna also often posts things on this blog.

Jason Jason Harris Geek About Town
Jason is the GUI customization freak. He's been coding up spiffiness and silliness for about ten years, working on such diverse projects as solid-state quantum computing simulators, genetic algorithm problem solving software, and a profanity-prone version of Eliza, an early A-Life expert system. He also digs skateboarding, loud music, and creating oddly euphonious phrases.

Slava Slava "Lemur!" Karpenko Lead Lurker
Slava is the Lead Lurker hiding in the shadows, digging in the deep bowels of operating system. He is responsible for most of the company releases, the name "Unsanity" and the term "haxie".

So hey, how about y'all list your favorite, non-unsanity Mac OS X shareware? Stuff you think is on par with the excellent haxies you've made.

Your software is the BEST! Love that orange complexion too. =)

Thanks for great tools! You're products are cool, you're all just twisted-enough to be fun... keep up the good work..!

been reading the slavaweblog for a while, glad to see the whole crew getting together for a branded one... will look forward to more in the future.

Dude, Rosyna is a bot. She does have some sexy code tho =).

Posted by: Rincewind on September 24, 2002 10:42 AM

Hm... So Rosyna, are you going to use that pic in Mail when posting to MacOSX-Talk? Love to see what kind of flame war/cheerleading we get about the 'tubbies.

Anyway, you guys are awesome. And RSS-using, too :) Who could complain?

Unsanity puts out amazing haxies. Thanks guys.

I love the stuff you guys do. I keep running in to people who use your stuff *all* the time (as I do) and it gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside to know that I'm only like 1° away from Slava (and I once got an e-mail from him) Keep up the good work!

Love you all!

You make me and my Mac happy. Your skills are well worth the minute costs of your haxies. :)

Damn Rosyna, you are really hard to get in touch with. I saw your blog post on here with your anime and since my brother got me into anime, I came across one that I think everyone should see. Without a doubt it's the best series I've ever seen. (Naruto, Neia_7, Cowboy Bebop, Gilgamesh, Full Metal Alchemist, Haibane Renmei, Big O, Chrno Crusade, Peacemaker Kurogane are also all very very excellent, but this one...) If you haven't seen it, pick up the dvd's of Last Exile. I downloaded all the episodes off the net (the season ended just last season) Watch it! I swear, I haven't been happier watching tv then when I was watching this show.

Rosyna's not a bot... I've exchanged email with her a few times. :) If you Google you will find a bunch of things she wrote.

Slava, is that you...former chief Very Smart Person of @Soft?

It's been a few years! I wrote a couple MacAmp plugins back when it was still "MacAmp," and still existed, and whatnot. Lots of fun. Good to connect-the-dots and see you're still around. :)

Take care, and keep up the great work!

Posted by: NA on May 27, 2004 10:10 PM

that'd be the very same evilslav as from @soft.

I was wondering, when you guys were going to get Shapshifter for Leopard up and running? I had it on Tiger and loved it so much and have checked every day for the update, but still waiting. I know you are busy, but I was wondering if you have an approximate time when it may be ready?

Thanks,

Cheryl

Are you still in business?

No replies to repeated emails requesting updates for FruitMenu, labels X and Menu Master.

If you're not planning any Leopard updates for your software, please have the common courtesy to post that information on your site.

Regards,

Chris

VERY understandably the Unsanity Team is annoyed with repeated requests to software updates. being in the business myself I can understand & relate-fully. However the harsh tone taken on the Web blog (despite the "Apologies for such a harsh tone") could potentially lose you guys some customers. There is a way to tell users to back off without being so nasty. It's part of what we have to do as IT people. Being from the business I can sympathize but that comment coupled with a personal email received from you guys has lost my interest in any future purchases from Unsanity.

I'm sure my 1 purchase of APE/Shapeshifter does not matter-drop in the bucket-but i'm sure i'm not the only one.
